Epworth Sleepiness Scale Test

Excessive daytime sleepiness is one of the Sleep Apnea Symptoms. The Epworth Sleepiness Scale is used to measure the level of daytime sleepiness. People who have untreated sleep apnea have an increased chance of automobile accidents and a wide variety of serious medical problems. The Epworth Sleepiness Scale measures how likely you are to fall asleep in some common situations you encounter in day-to-day life.

The only way to be sure if you have obstructive sleep apnea is to have a sleep test either at home from a qualified sleep physician or in a hospital sleep center, but a score of 10 or above on this test is an indication that you should consult with a sleep specialist.

If you score 10 or more, please print this test, fill it out and bring it with you to your initial consultation with Dr Goldman.
